Actions

The PPGSCM has established collaborations with national and international research centers and universities to conduct studies and research in Collective Health, emphasizing the health of children, women, adolescents, and young people.

Research Collaborations

PPGSCM researchers have participated in studies in collaboration with international institutions such as the University of Konstanz (Germany), the University of Coimbra (Portugal), the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (United Kingdom), the London School of Political Science (United Kingdom), and the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM-France).

Academic Collaborations

The Program has collaborated regularly with the Universities of Lanus (Argentina) and Antioquia (Colombia) in courses on research methodologies in public health. Furthermore, international professors from the University of Porto, University of Aveiro, PUC Valparaíso, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM) have been invited to participate in the Program’s courses. Within the framework of COOPBRAS, the Program has also collaborated with the Lúrio University and the National Institute of Health (INS) (Mozambique) in the Master's in health sciences and more recently with the Educational Program in Health Systems for Mozambique (SisSaúde). The Program has also received undergraduate students from the Center for Health and Wellbeing at Princeton University for curricular internships in child and women's health.

Sandwich Doctorate

Through the CAPES/Fiocruz Internationalization Program, the Program has encouraged students to do a doctoral internship at foreign universities as part of their training. We had students at Brown University, Rutgers University, University of Toronto, University of Porto, University of Minho, New Lisbon University, University of Lisbon, and Eduardo Mondlane University. Moreover, the Program also receives foreign students to do their doctoral internships with us. Doctoral students from Universidad de Oviedo, Universidad de los Andes, and University of College London have already had this opportunity.

Visiting researchers

The PPGSCM has also received international researchers to conduct post-doctorate activities. Notable researchers were from the University of Coimbra and Universitat Jaume I. We also received visiting researchers from the University of Porto and the Secretariat of Health of Asturias to conduct research activities with us.

Collaborations with international agencies

PPGSCM professors collaborate as experts in their fields of research with international organizations, such as UNFPA, UNICEF, PAHO/WHO, supporting the formulation of research agendas on sexual and reproductive health, violence against children, adolescents and women, and HIV/ AIDS.
